About Our Speaker Angela Xu
Our Speaker, Angela Xu joined the Illinois Environmental Council as the Municipal Engagement Manager in the Fall of 2023, working on policy issues surrounding clean energy and water. She holds a Juris Doctor degree from Stetson University College of Law with a concentration in environmental law, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC). Prior to joining IEC, Angela has dedicated her time to environmental initiatives for Sierra Club, Our Children’s Trust, Ocean Conservancy, Friends of the Chicago River, and more.
Powering Progress is a campaign to celebrate the benefits in the Inflation Reduction Act, which is an example of how we can come together across races and places to solve big problems.
