Join us on Thursday, September 26, 2024, at 7:00 pm CST when we gather online for our monthly GVP Issues Team meeting where our guest speaker, Brenda Mitchell, state chapter Co-Lead for Moms Demand Action in Illinois, will share her perspective on:

• the impact of Project 2025 on gun violence prevention efforts, including the passage of commonsense gun laws
• the impact of Project 2025 on suicide victims and victims and survivors of domestic violence

In addition, Brenda will be sharing her personal story of experiencing the unexpected loss of her 31 year old son, Kenneth, whose life was so tragically taken by gun violence in 2005 and also talk about the work she does in the community and with Moms Demand Action.

We are so pleased that Brenda Mitchell will be joining us to share her sense of joy and determination to keep moving forward to celebrate Kenneth’s life and to bring love, hope and healing to gun violence survivors and their families.
