“Protect Our Immigrant and Refugee Community Speaker Event & Planning Meeting”

Join us for a discussion and planning session with special guest speaker Fred Tsao the senior policy council for the Illinois Coalition of Immigrant and Refugee Rights. Fred was the coauthor of the Oak Park Welcoming Ordinance for immigrant populations which is viewed as the one of the model ordinances for municipalities nationally. Fred will discuss ways that we craft ordinances in our areas as well as statewide legislation to make Illinois a safe place for immigrants.
