A virtual update on the economic and fiscal situation, including new legislation. Much to talk about with the new president and the $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan Act.
With the vaccines, it looks like we are getting Covid under control this year. After relatively weak job growth from October through January (average = +201,000 jobs per month), jobs grew by 379,000 in February. Forecasts are for much better job growth in future months.
Other metrics also look good for this year
