On November 12th at 6:30 p.m., NWSOFA’s Fiscal and Economics team will present an update on the state of the US economy, the almost $1 trillion federal budget deficit in the fiscal year that ended September 30, 2019, and the status of funding legislation (appropriations/continuing resolutions) for fiscal year 2020. At our November meeting we will have information from the October Employment report and a preliminary estimate of 3ed quarter real GDP growth. Beginning at 7:30 p.m. NWSOFA Indivisible, Sixth Dems, and the Greater Palatine Area Democrats present special guest speaker Ralph Martire, the Executive Director of the Center for Tax and Budget Accountability (CTBA). Mr. Martire will present information on Illinois’ pension issues and some potential solutions.
