Food Drive For Needy Families
Date: Saturday, May 4, 2013 Time: 10:00am-11:30am Place: Faith Community Homes office at First Presbyterian Church, 302 N. Dunton, Arlington Heights (use Eastman St. door). This event is in cooperation with Faith Community Homes that helps homeless or nearly homeless families with assistance in rent and finding a job. The family makes a 2 year commitment to better their situation by learning budgeting strategies, parenting skills and accepts mentoring for the 2 years. Pass out a flier ( you can download from the Resources page) to neighbors a week before the event. On May 4, pick up the donation in a bag left at each door. Bring food to the First Presbyterian Church at 11:00am and sort into piles that fit the needs of the families. For copies of the…
