The most important element in every election is getting voters to the polls—these get-out-the-vote (GOTV) efforts make the difference between winning and losing office.
If you’ve been wondering what you can do to help make that happen you’ve come to the right newsletter.
We at NWSOFA-INDIVISIBLE have been actively working to reach out to voters in our state and in swing states around the country……writing postcards and letters, manning phone banks, distributing literature and putting up signs in our yards and neighborhoods.

Twitterstorm for #VirusFreeVotingILLINOIS will happen weekly on Wednesdays at noon – 2pm. Please help spread the word.
Indivisible Illinois and NWSOFA organize VBM Tweetstorms weekly to ensure safe, secure and accessible elections by promoting online vote-by-mail applications. Our efforts are paying off! Online
applications are up to 220k with approximately 250k – 260k in the pipeline in Chicago!
These Twitterstorms will repeat every Wednesday from noon -2pm. We invite you to join us while we tweet for fair elections and make sure that every vote counts.

It has never been so important to ensure that ALL VOTERS VOTE!
Please help save our democracy by writing postcards to swing states. We have 600 postcards and need your help. The postcards are divided into batches of 30. Please sign up for the event and…
– Send an email to the host stating how many batches (30 each) you
would like to write. Click email host link at top of page
– Once you order your postcards, you will receive an email with
instructions and where to pick up your postcards in Palatine.
– Stamp your postcards with 35 cent stamp. ( you will provide stamps)
– OCTOBER 21st is the mail date. (please do not mail on a different date)

David and Karl will give an update on the US economy and the fiscal (budget deficit) situation.
We will discuss why Illinois’ Fair Tax Amendment is good for Illinois and most Illinois residents.
The US is in a recession that started in February 2020.
Real GDP growth is negative since President Trump took office.
Despite decent job recoveries from May-August, the US economy is still down over 10 million jobs versus February; 4.7 million jobs since President Trump took office.
The fiscal year 2020 budget deficit is projected to exceed $3 trillion, more than twice the previous record set in President Bush’s last budget year.

Joy will discuss the MN Atty. Gen. law suit against Exxon and Koch Industries.
Minnesota Center for Environmental Advocacy is a nonprofit organization that uses law and science to protect Minnesota’s environment, its natural resources, and the health of its people. For nearly 50 years, MCEA has worked in the courts, at the legislature, and with public agencies to enact, strengthen and enforce smart environmental laws.
