Join the “Indivisible Post Card Extravaganza” – Number 2!

Location: Moretti’s, 1799 Busse Rd, Mount Prospect, IL 60056

Please join us Tuesday, October 15th for a second postcarding extravaganza! This time we will meet at Moretti’s Restaurant in Mount Prospect (a private room on the second floor). Members from six Indivisible groups and other local activists will come together to write postcards to swing state voters to get out the vote and to share some yummy food and drink. We’ll provide a pizza, pasta, appetizer and salad buffet as well as supply the cards and supplies. You will be able to purchase your own drinks.

We have used up all of our postage stamps (we completed over 2000 cards at our first extravaganza!) so we are asking for a suggested contribution of 25 stamps or $15 in cash to offset the cost of postage. Every contribution entitles you to a raffle ticket!

Let’s get together,have some pizza and pop (on us) and write and stamp some postcards to SWING STATES and get to know each other and our sponsoring groups.

Illinois Alliance to Prevent Gun Violence

October Meeting

Just a quick reminder that the next meeting of the Illinois Alliance to Prevent Gun Violence is Wednesday,.

October is domestic violence awareness month and our meeting will focus on the overlap between domestic violence prevention and gun violence prevention. We will have guest speakers from our member organization KAN-WIN and other groups working to reduce domestic violence in Illinois.

We will also look forward to our phone bank in support of Karina’s bill on November 3rd! Details on the phone bank and the one-pager in support of Karina’s Bill are attached below. The main purpose of Karina’s Bill is to make order of protection in Illinois move efficient and effective, particularly as it pertains to the removal of firearms when an OP (Order of Protection) is in place.

Join Illinois Democrats & Take Action

Join us as we travel to Wisconsin to get out the vote for Kamala Harris and other Democrats.

Once there we will be trained and knock on doors to get out the vote for the 2024 general election.
