Hollywood’s brightest stars, including Harrison Ford, and today’s most respected journalists explore the issues of climate change and bring you intimate accounts of triumph and tragedy. YEARS OF LIVING DANGEROUSLY takes you directly to the heart of the matter in this awe-inspiring and cinematic documentary series event from Executive Producers James Cameron, Jerry Weintraub and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

The first episode, which is to be shown, focuses on the drought in Plainview, Texas, a conservative and religious town, the civil war in Syria, and the deforestation of government lands in Indonesia for palm oil plantations.

Open to the public. Members from NWSOFA, Lake-McHenry OFA, North Cook Country Sierra Club, Cool Cities, Palatine Countryside Unitarian Church, Faith in Place, Harper College Green Committee, Climate Reality Project, Illinois Solar Energy Association, Citizens Climate Lobby, Citizens for Conservation, Northbrook Go Green, 350.org and other environmental and religious groups are encouraged to attend.

The screening will be followed with a short explanation of the Illinois Renewable Portfolio Standard (RPS) fix and proposed EPA power plant carbon rules scheduled to be released June 3.
