Good news in recent economic data – it looks like we are heading for a soft landing:
– The first estimate of 3rd quarter real GDP growth is 4.9%; second estimate is 5.2% annualized growth rate. Third estimate is also 4.9%.
– looking pretty good. non-farm payrolls increased by 216,000
– in December the unemployment rate was 3.7%
– in December Wages up 4.3% since 12/22
– The twelve month CPI has declined from 9.1% last June (2022) to 3.1%
