Join Us this next Tuesday @ 7PM! Stand With Women (SWW) is pleased to announce a special guest: Mariyana Spyropoulos – Candidate for Clerk of The Circuit Court. She is running against the incumbent in the March 19th Primary. February 13, 2024 7:00 – 8:15 PM Central ZOOM..

Mariyana served on The Metropolitan Water Reclamation District Commission- as Board President she embraced green infrastructure, disinfected city waterways, and called for transparency and ethics in the department.

Mariyana plans to modernize the office of the Circuit Courts desperately needed to better serve the citizenry, as well as focusing on better transparency and oversight.

Mariyana is a wonderful speaker who will share on her past accomplishments in the MWRD and her future goals as Clerk of The Circuit Courts. Another amazing woman in government!!

Tuesday 2/13 12 noon central Zoom Phone Bank Party

“Midwest Phone Bank to Flip NY-03 Blue”

Indivisible Illinois, along with several other midwest Indivisible groups and Swing Left groups will be hosting Zoom phone bank parties for “Midwest Phone Bank to Flip NY-03 Blue”.

Tuesday 2/13 12 noon The Election Day Midwest Collaborative Zoom Phone Bank Party for Tom Suozzi’s campaign to voters in the NY-03 Congressional District.

Indivisible and Swing Left chapters across the midwest are teaming up to call voters on election day of this Feb. 13 special election in New York’s 3rd congressional district – and flip George Santos’s former district from red to blue! We’ll talk to voters about supporting Democratic nominee Tom Suozzi and encourage them to make their voices heard at the ballot box.

A few things to keep in mind when you attend this phone bank:

• Don’t worry if you’ve never done something like this before. We’ll provide training on the phone bank tools, and a script for what to say on the calls.
• You’ll need a phone, and a computer or tablet to make calls.
• Once you register, you’ll receive a Zoom registration form to fill out and that’ll get you the Zoom link for the call.

Calling all Indivisibles looking for a realistic plan to heal disinformation’s rifts! Click here to join us on Feb. 14 at 5:30pm central.

Disinformation polarizes us, blowing up heartfelt disagreements into what can feel like insurmountable divisions, particularly along racial and generational lines. In 2024, we must learn the persuasive communication tactics that bring us together in power.

For an hour on Valentine’s Day, we’ll preview the disinformation landscape ahead, take the first steps toward understanding compassionate communication with special guest Dr. David Campt, and launch our first disinfo-busting action campaign of the new year.

We are very pleased to announce that Maria Peterson, IL State Representative Candidate for District 52 will be the Guest Speaker for our Thursday, February 15, 2024, NWSOFA Gun Violence Prevention Zoom meeting at 7:00 pm.

Maria is a strong and determined supporter of Gun Violence Prevention legislation/policies and her views and insights on GVP issues are informative and inspiring!
