Rosemary Heilemann LWV

Stand With Women (SWW) is pleased to announce our 3/14 meeting will feature Rosemary Heilemann, Co-President of the League of Women Voters Deerfield / Lincolnshire Area. ZOOM this coming Thursday,@ 7:30 PM central.

The League of Women Voters of the United States believes that voting is a fundamental citizen right that must be guaranteed. LWV has recently adopted a new pillar in their Campaign for Making Democracy Work: Abolishing the Electoral College.

Ms. Heilemann is chairing the Electoral College Committee for LWV – Illinois. If you don’t know why abolishing the electoral college is so important, join this meeting. The reasons go well beyond guaranteeing one person one vote.

The LWV takes stands on the issues, developing their positions by informed consensus. The LWV has developed positions on elimination of cash bail, health care, climate change, gun violence and many other issues that affect all of us.
