US Economy continues on it’s “Strong but not to Strong” Economic trend… Stock Market Agrees.. the Biden administration has “ 40 straight months” of continued positive / record jobs growth .. with wage gains exceeding the 4% inflation..
Think of the impact of nearly 16 million new jobs all contributing to SS and Medicare & unemployment compensation etc and not drawing down On unemployment payments…very positive impact!
Special new areas of discussion will continue in June:
1) Biden economy vs. Trump economy (pre Covid),2) Immigration contribution to economy 3) CBO latest 10-year forecast
Latest highlights … economic information to discuss at our June meeting:
* New jobs were +272,000 in May job growth, April was revised down -10,,000 and March revised down by -5,000 as reported in the June (May) BLS report
* New Unemployment rate holds @ 4% reported in the May BLS report
* Inflation cooled in May … CPI is lower 3.3% over the last 12 months
* Average hourly earnings for all employees increases .4% … for last 12 months reported in the BLS = 4.1%
