Mental Health and Gun Violence Discussion Panel (We Will Be Heard -- Action Events) As a part of our group’s efforts to decrease gun violence, NWSOFA will host a program exploring and evaluating commonly held beliefs connecting mental health and violent behavior. The program will run from 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday May 15th in the conference room at the Palatine Police Station, 595 North Hicks Road. We will have two highly qualified speakers, psychologist Dr. Bruce Bonecutter, who is Director of Psychosocial Services at the Isaac Ray Juvenile Detention Center, and educator Hugh Brady who is the President of the Illinois branch of the National Alliance on Mental Illness.
