Happy ThanksGiving

Welcome to all our members! Thanksgiving week is a time to reflect on the things we are grateful for and to spend time with loved ones. This year, Thanksgiving Day falls on November 23rd

It’s a day to give thanks for all the blessings in our lives and to enjoy a delicious meal with family and friends.

Please note that there will be no meetings on Thursday, November 23rd and Friday, November 24th

As we approach Thanksgiving, let’s take a moment to appreciate the people and things that make our lives special. Whether it’s a warm home, a loving family, or good health, there is always something to be thankful for.

Tim Milburn is a lifelong resident of Park Ridge, Illinois and a member of the Northwest Cook County Group of the Illinois Sierra Club.. He is also a member of the US DOE’s Chicago Area Clean Cities Steering Team and the Illinois Solar Energy Association..

Tim represents Park Ridge on the Metropolitan Mayors Caucus Environmental Committee.. As an Executive Committee member of the Northwest Cook County Group Sierra Club, Tim is actively involved in promoting environmental causes and initiatives.. He has presented an overview of climate initiatives at Both NWSOFA-Climate Meetings and Sierra Clubs’ program meeting..

11th Annual National Interfaith Vigil for All Victims and Survivors of Gun Violence

Please join us in-person at 6:30 pm CST (or on Zoom at 7:00 pm CST) on Sunday, December 10, 2023, for an interfaith vigil sponsored by Chicago Survivors, Everytown Survivor Network, FUMCAH Faith in Action, Illinois Alliance to Prevent Gun Violence, Illinois Social Justice Alliance, Moms Demand Action, NWSOFA/Indivisible and One Aim Illinois. This vigil is just one of the many nationwide vigils being held in December as part of Newtown Action Alliance Foundation’s 11th Annual National Vigil for All Victims and Survivors of Gun Violence in an effort to help #EndGunViolence. Survivors have shared that it is important for us to stand with them to let them know this important message: “

WE SEE YOU. WE SUPPORT YOU. YOU ARE NOT ALONE.”

. The vigil program begins at 7:00 pm CST and will be a hybrid vigil that can be watched in person at FUMCAH or at home on Zoom.
